Welcome from the Principal
I am very pleased to welcome you to The West Somerset Community College website.
We believe that the most vital part of any school has to be the people who make it what it is.
The West Somerset Community College is a special and unique place: you will discover this when you visit and feel the friendly atmosphere which radiates through every part of the College.
Our students enjoy being here! We have a strong team of staff at the College who are united in encouraging students to work hard, to achieve their best and to respect others. This means setting the highest standards for each individual student. We value very highly our excellent relationships with students and parents and recognise that everyone has a vital part to play in developing the College. Recent years have witnessed a steady increase in our student numbers. Linked with this growth is the need to appoint new staff and to improve and extend our teaching facilities, benefiting our students, and at the same time, enabling us to provide new educational opportunities for members of the wider community.
We are working together as a College community – staff, students and parents – to make The West Somerset Community College an exceptional College of the 21st Century.
